Menopause occurs 12 months following a woman’s final menstrual. The menopause is being faced and will be facing to each woman. It is a normal cyclic natural part of females. Females face it in the age group of 40-50. Irritation level and behavioral changes in the women is seen after the age of 40 and this when leads to menopause. There is no medicine made in the world that can stop menopause. Some risk factors or side effects that affect in this stage faced by women is seen. In some cases, it is also seen that women face menopause in 30-40 age. The women in age 60+ still suffer with periods. Our hormones start decreasing in this condition. The side effects such as hot flashes, severe cold or hot, hair fall, increased palpitations, interest less in any work, personal and sexual life would be disturbed, genital areas become dry,etc are faced by women. If we start proper healthy exercise and diet, we won’t feel any hesitation or discomfort. It is a situation wherein the women nowadays at early age that is 35-40 are having menopause. Women nowadays are seen consuming alcohols, tobacco, junk and spicy food which cause hormonal imbalance. We have also observed that girls at the age of 8 or 9 are getting periods but earlier girls used to get periods after the age of 12. The menopause stage has lowered down to 35-40 age due to modernization thinking and western culture adaptation which was 45+ age earlier. Menopause is a milestone; a women will achieve in her life. there are two hormones produced in ovaries are estrogen and progesterone. During menopause these hormones have downfall. After which naturally the periods stop and biologically a women cannot have a child. The sexual life of women is also misbalanced after this. When the girl is in maturing period her breast size increases and mood swings happen. Similarly, when a woman is in menopause stage she faces hot flashes, improper food consumption, continuous bad mood and irritation. The mild changes are seen in the body in the menopausal stage. The fat of women increases because it constitutes the production of estrogen. The estrogens present in the body therefore keep us healthier too. Make sure one takes it positively and works on the changes.
Make sure one does physical activities, yoga and walking on the grass and live a normal life to get used to this phase. Consuming gulkand can maintain proper digestion. To make homemade gulkand one needs to take 200 grams of rose petals and 200 grams of jaggery and keep it in sunlight and store it for a long time. Take it one tablespoon in the morning and evening to see the results. Ash gourd juice is also good for acidic juice. Boil giloy in one glass of water and strain it and drink it. The diabetic patients can drink this and also this would be helpful for the women having hot flashes too. The quantity of consumption is about 10 grams. San Shamani vatti tablets can be consumed to maintain hormones, two in the morning and two in the evening. Making coriander and mint leaves paste and add water later straining it and then adding jaggery in it and consuming a glass of it can be beneficial. Avoid sugar because in naturopathic treatment crystal sugar is not meant to be healthy. When there is inflammation or redness in the eyes the rainwater or the coriander leaves water would be helpful. Just use 2-3 drops of the same. This will also clear all the toxins inside your eyes. The women may even feel lack of Vitamin D, this could again be a serious problem for them. Take a glass bottle and fill water till its neck attach cork to it. Keep it on a wooden plank without polishing. Keep that in sunlight till sunset in the evening. Also make sure that there is no reflection on the bottle. This is how the bottle will be charged once and the person should consume 50-100 ml thrice a day. This is how the deficiency of Vitamin D will be covered. Shatavari tablets and powder would be helpful for women. Triphala with neem and giloy and adding Mishri in water and boil it which is also powerful supplement for the women. Make sure one uses natural leaves and herbs which will show better results. If one has dark circles that can be treated as making powdered form of red masoor lentils and adding milk in it and washing your face with it or applying, it as scrub on the face. Using Multani soil on the face can provide coolness on it. The facial hair can be reduced with the help of Shilajit. The hormones can also be balanced with this. When one consumes non-veg, spicy, oily and sour food the effect of shilajit on the body is less. During menopause women’s bones so, one should consume Fox nut (makhana). White sesame soaked for overnight and then grinded with water forms sesame milk which can be beneficial for women. You can also give it to your children. Peanut milk and coconut milk can also be made with the same procedure and your peanut milk and coconut milk is ready. Sesame oil would help in maintaining digestion and healthy lungs. The consumption of the same can be done in food and one can use it for massage. These milks and food would help you in proper digestion and maintaining healthy intestines.
In the market we see many supplements and food available for menopause specially can affect. Instead of that one should focus on their regular diet. One should follow the food they eat from the beginning. Go for a walk and do Yoga. One should follow LST formula that is Local, Seasonal and Traditional. The local food which is grown and available in your locality. The seasonal is the food which is available according to a particular season. Traditional food is the one which is made in one’s culture and is still continued and prepared till date. Following this method would give you healthier health. Coming to menopause the micronutrients shrink during that period. The food and exercise will maintain our micronutrients and will lead to a better menopause period. With the help of Yoga, Pranayama, and Asanas adding into your daily life can make you healthy at whatever stage you would be. The rekhagati is the pose in which one stands still this will increase the concentration of the women during menopause and would be effective too. The other asana is bhujang asana which can also be helpful. These asanas and yoga poses would help you to nourish your bodily movements as well as internally. Including Pranayama since pre-menopausal period would be better. Make sure one also takes rest that is 20 mins in daytime. Changing your lifestyle and food habits would help you to retain a healthy life.
