ELEMENTOR STRUCTURE EARTH
ELEMENTOR STRUCTURE EARTH
The body and the universe are more similar than the average human eye may notice. The same elements that constitute the Earth are the ones that make up the structure of the body! There is a cosmic power that binds us all together. It is necessary that there is a continuous balance between all 5 elements. They are SKY (the most abundant), WATER, EARTH, AIR and FIRE. All these along with that cosmic force which most people consider” God” or “Ram” as said by Shri Mahatma Gandhi, make up the universe and mankind or our bodies.

“Pranayam” in yoga practices is a method through which we can balance all our chakraas. There is astonishing resemblance between the proportions of all the elements in the body and the Earth and the forces that keep it alive. Water, an element both in our body and on the Earth, is around 70%.
THE EARTH ELEMENT
The land (Earth) with its small portions within the water resembles the presence of muscles, bones, nails and other solid structures in our body! The element of Earth (the heaviest one) connects us to worldly desires and “wants”. It is the food that we consume. Talking about the element of “Earth”, an increase in its proportion in the body decreases the proportion of “Aakash” or space in the body and vice versa.
The word “Earth” was derived through words like Prithu (meaning large), Kshamavi (since it is forever forgiving) and Dharti(for it accepts) and so on. There is a spiritual meaning behind the different names given to our mother Earth. As time is passing and the World is growing more modern, medications have become solutions to all health-related problems. But they are actually addictions disguised in the form of cures. They are a ticket to temporary relief which compromises your overall health in the long run.
Earlier people used to have a close connection to the element of Earth. We used to sleep on mud floors, have houses layered with the same from within and used utensils made from it in our routine activities. These practices are now replaced with sleeping on beds, marble flooring, utensils made from steel, plastic and other fibers, etc. This has led us to have issues regarding our spine, lifestyle and mortality rate. It is the need of the hour that we reconnect with our nature to heal ourselves instead of turning to heavy medications. Natural treatments are a highly convenient and pocket friendly method to cure diseases and disorders.

Whatever that is seen and tangible in the body like skin, nails, bones and other such stuff falls under the Earth element. 12% of our body comprises of this element and it exists in the “Root Chakra”.
