GREEN MOONG

 

As the saying goes “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. Similarly, in naturopathy, we have the supremacy of moong either boiled or its water is beneficial. For all types of problems like the person is ill, has indigestion or any acute problem can have this as a perfect diet and medicine. 

Moong is the richest source of plant-based protein containing higher protein properties. It can increase carbs also. It serves calories and we can feel our stomachs filled. To use the moong by soaking it overnight, boiling it the next morning, and eating is the best food for the smallest to the elder people in the family. One can eat moong as moong chat in the morning, have moong sabzi for lunch, and use it as soup for dinner. It will be difficult for one to digest the moong, so adding vegetables will be easily indigestible. If one prefers 100 grams of moong a day it would cover 60–70% of protein in a day. The moong sprouts are very healthy for digestion and digestive juices.

DRUMSTICKS
