Water Therapy

Water is a basic necessity and is worshipped by us. One cannot live without water for more than one day. One can stay without water for a maximum of 14–15 hours. A human body consists of 72% water even in nature there is 70% of the water is present and other parts constitute land. Water has many uses it is used for drinking and most important cleaning everything on our body, utensils, clothes, etc. Once lord Shiva said his carrier Nandi ji to announce to the world that bathes twice and eats once. Nandi ji said it’s the reverse of eating twice and bathing once and people started following that habit. Even in villages, women worship water by showering flowers near the water source and seeking blessings of the same. This indicates that water is very much important in our lives. People in the temples worship sculptures by making them bathe with ‘Panchamrut’ which is made up of milk, curd, honey, sugar, and ghee. Even after this important and religious bath, it is mandatory to purify the sculptures of God with water.

One need to detoxify their internal body should drink water. Every morning it is advised to drink 1 glass of warm water. After drinking it, a person starts sweating though it is winter.

 

Even if you’re not drinking start drinking now. Just lukewarm 2 glasses of water add lemon and add honey in it. This is important as after dinner we are fasting for about 11–12 hours and then we have our breakfast. To rehydrate our body after a long hours before having breakfast it is important to drink so. Your body recharges and functions smoothly. It detoxifies our body by removing waste from it through sweat, motion or urination. The dirt collected near the dermis layer comes out in the form of sweat. It is necessary to sweat and let the toxicants come out. Some people hate its smell, to avoid it the more you drink water the more smell lessens. The khus plant can be used in the pot of drinking water which doesn’t make your sweat stink.

One should not avoid the places and reasons to not sweat. People sit in air-conditioned places so that they can’t sweat which is wrong. Let your body sweat because it maintains body temperature.

When we take a steam bath it releases sweat. People prefer jacuzzi baths nowadays which are very much beneficial for the skin by exfoliating and opening the pores and giving relaxation to the body. One can even prefer an alternate foot bath which improves blood circulation. Many problems related to urination and heat problems in the body can be solved with these. If there is swelling in the leg it is suggested by our elders in the family to keep our feet in hot water with sea salt so that it relaxes the muscles, improves blood circulation and the swelling is controlled. Add Epsom salt (magnesium sulphate) in the hot water to control the swelling and provide relief to the part. Hot foot bath is beneficial and it can also be taken in buckets in the house. In foreign countries to control cold they use magic socks. The people in there wear woollen socks for heat this not only is benefitted for them but also avoids the cons of it this therapy is known as Magical socks therapy.


There is a chair of heat baths or tubs you can search it online for the ones that can have the heat bath to the abdomen. After being a therapist, you might need it accordingly should be necessary for you. 

Women who suffer from pain during menstruation can take a cold bath for relief. Women who have irregular periods can prefer alternate baths for the improvements. The ones who have less menstruation release of blood can prefer hot baths. If there is no availability of any instruments for the bath one can prefer wrapping the hot towels and cold towels separately and alternatively with different towels. The ones having gas-related, constipation or any indigestion problem can take a hot bath and alternate also. If there is no towel available go with the tape that is available in the market. Wrap it around the abdomen or the stomach after soaking it in water and then use the belt available to wrap it. You can receive a set of neck tape, head tape and stomach tape in the market. Keep it for 20–25 mins it absorbs heat and detoxifies our fatty liver. Repeat it for 1 month daily.

Your water can be treated to a spiritual level too. Keep a glass of water in front of you and say positive things and then drink it. It will not only increase your confidence but will increase your positivity. Repeat this for 21 days and if you break the cycle start over again.

Spine bath

The spinal pain is very severe pain. There is also a tub available for the spinal bath available in the market. You can have a cold as well as a hot water bath or else alternate bath too. The bath should be 15–20 mins. All the nervous system pains can be cured. If we’ve pain, we can take its hot water bath. If we have a nervous problem, we can take a cold water bath. If we don’t have such tubs what we can do is take a mattress available in our house. Then take a blanket required as per your cold or hot accordingly soak it and then spread it on the mattress.

Emersed bath

 

Earlier sages used to do this bath not as therapy but religious aspect. They used to do emersed baths and gain some eternal powers. This is because of their concentration aspect. They had the strongest clairvoyance. 

The emersed bath removes all negativity and pessimistic thoughts. The swimming that we do nowadays is the emersed bath. Now there is the availability of hydro massage near swimming pools. The jacuzzi is also beneficial if done. In every house, the moms, grandma and elders advise us to take a bath whenever we come from outside. We really feel tired and helpless and try to lie down. But once we take a bath, we feel refreshed and recharged.

For eyes, one can use hydrotherapy too. Soaking the handkerchief in cold water and applying it to the eyes to get rid of dryness and puffed eyes. Also, for dryness, one can use a cotton eys pad (which is available in spa and beauty parlours) soaked in cold milk and apply it on your eyes and see the results. One can even prefer the cucumber juice applied in the cotton eye pads and applying it on the eyes. If not anything, then one can prefer simple cold-water pads applied to the eyes.
